Wolf Tones 4-07 Moynalty 2-17
Moynalty faced off against Wolf Tones in their excellent Gibbstown pitch for their fifth game in the Tommy Dowd Oil Division 5 league on Sunday. The game began in hot conditions as the sun shone brightly over the pitch. Wolf Tones started the brightest, with their clinicalness infront of goal putting them ahead. Moynalty kept the scoreboard ticking over through a well taken goal from Bryan McCormack and points from several players, including two from the returning James Cassidy. The second half saw a tactical shuffle from Moynalty, and they immediately reaped the rewards. Kian Lynch was introduced at half time and found the net as Moynalty began to pull ahead on the day. The young Wolf Tones side battled hard, but it was the hard work of Moynaltys forwards in particular which swung the pendulum as 10 different players found themselves on the scoresheet for the visitors. Moynalty turn their attention to the rearranged clash with Skryne next Saturday 18th May, with throw in scheduled for 6pm in Moynalty.
