Moynalty 4-19 Navan O’Mahonys 5-10
Moynalty u13s made it 2 wins on the bounce with 6 point win over Navan O’Mahoneys on Sunday. Moynalty started strongly with Ben Nevin, Will Smith and James Carville among the points. Despite the strong start the Navan side came into the game and held a 2 point lead at half-time. In the second half the Moynalty youngsters started to take over driven on in particular by some storming forward runs from Hugh Gilseanin from centre back and a strong showing from Will Smith in midfield. The crucial goal came well into the “9 minutes” of injury time played by referee Seamus O’Connor when substitute Terry Gilsenan and James Carville combined to set up Will Smith who palmed the ball past the excellent Navan goalkeeper. At full time Moynalty were full value for their win and now move onto an away fixture in Boardsmill.
