Moynalty 0-14 Moylagh 0-09

Moynalty hosted Moylagh in the tenth round of the Tommy Dowd Oil Division 5 on Tuesday evening, looking to solidify their place in the semi finals. The first half was a close affair with both sides defending well and forcing each other to take their points. The management team of Stephen Dawson and Jamie Whyte had to reschuffle the pack midway through the first half due to an unfortunate injury to Ronan McMahon, as the homeside welcomed Paddy Gallagher back into the fold after his Leaving Cert. Half time score Moynalty 0-06 Moylagh 0-05.

In the second half the homeside began to turn the screw, with scores coming from across the forward line. Paddy Byrne was the standout player for Moynalty and proved a constant threat infront of goal. It was a tense finish however as Moylagh pushed for a goal to salvage something from the match. Moynalty were once again grateful for their goalkeeper Johnny Lynch who saved a penalty 2 minutes from time to ensure full points were heading their way. Full Time Score Moynalty 0-14 Moylagh 0-09.
