By moynaltytreasurer Sun 13th Apr

Sunday 13th April

Moynalty 1-17 Longwood 0-13

Moynalty went into Sunday’s match against Longwood with confidence after last week’s win against St Colmcille’s, and it was evident from throw in with Jude Gilsenan firing home an early goal. Playing against a breeze in the first half, Moynalty held onto the ball well and found the correct moments to attack. Moynalty had 6 different point scorers in the first half, showing the attacking strength across the team. Half time score Moynalty 1-07 Longwood 0-07

In the second half Moynalty played with the wind, and used it to their full advantage with some impressive scores including four second half points for Ollie Sheridan. Defensively Moynalty held out very well, with the midfield and half back lines turning over lots of possession and restricting the Longwood side to few goal chances. The win was a huge team effort with good displays across the starting XV and substitutes. This moves Moynalty up onto 4 points in the league table, with a trip to Castletown next up at 11am on Sunday 27th April.
