Moynalty 1-16 Drumconrath 1-04
Moynalty got their Tailteann Shield campaign off to a winning start on Thursday evening, running out 1-16 to 1-04 winners over Drumconrath.
The hosts ran into an early 7 point lead in what was a physical opening quarter. Moynalty were boosted by some impressive shooting infront of goal from James Cassidy and Kian Lynch. Dylan Farrelly, making his debut for the adult team, stood out in the backs and also kicked a first half point.
Moynalty made 8 personnel changes in the second half, and the forward play was equally as impressive as Kian Lynch added a goal, and Cillian Gaynor also kicked a point on his first adult team outing. A special mention to our third debutant Pauric Reilly who played the second half at half back.
Moynalty now look forward to a trip to Clonard which is pencilled in for a 2pm throw in in St Finians Park next Saturday 24th February.
