Moynalty v Cortown Division 5

2nd hosted 5th on Tuesday evening in the Tommy Dowd Oil Division 5 League, as Moynalty and Cortown looked to strengthen their case for a semi final spot in the campaign. It was the home side who flew out of the traps, with Kian Lynch finding an early goal. Paul Lynch also finished off a well worked team move into the back of the net mid way through the half to leave the half time score Moynalty 2-05 Cortown 1-01.

 

Goal chances were at a premium in the second half, but Moynaltys forward play remained at the highest standard – in particular Ollie Sheridan who struck 4 second half points. Moynalty’s defence remained as hardworking as ever, and only conceded 3 points in the second half. Full Time Score Moynalty 2-13 Cortown 1-04. Moynalty now remain second in the division, with 7 wins from 8. Their next outing will be Sunday 16th June with an early start away to Seneschalstown at 10.30am.
