Moynalty played Clann Na nGael on Monday 1st April in Moynalty. It was a wet morning, and thankfully the pitch passed a late inspection which was a huge testiment to the hard work put in from the Grounds Committee in Moynalty. Aided by the wind in the first half, Moynalty scored 1:07. Just before half time, their lead was cut short as Clann Na nGael refused to give up and scored a goal to leave the half time score Moynalty 1:07 to 1:01
Second half Clann Na nGael rallied back with the aid of the wind and scored 4pts on the trot without reply. Moynalty added 2 more points before Clann Na Ngael added a flurry of 1:04 to put them ahead as the game drew to a close. Moynalty added 3 more points against the wind with Shane Bennett getting the equaliser from a free. There was good displays from Jack Kavanagh and Daire Conlan. Moynalty now turn their attentions to the rearranged clash with Slane at home on Friday April 5th with throw in at 7pm.
