Moynalty made the long trip to Stamullen for round 3 of the LMFM Minor Tournament. Moynalty were down a few bodies and so the game was played 13 a side, this made for a lot of space on the big Pats pitch, along with the perfect weather conditions this led to a high scoring and entertaining end to end game.
The home team made the brighter start scoring two goals and racing into a large lead. Moynalty soon settled into the game with Aaron Lynch, Leo Kavanagh and David Daly fielding some great ball from kickouts. Goals from Eoin Gilsenan (2) and Leo Kavanagh kept the lads within touching distance at ht.

Moynalty started the 2nd half strong as Aaron Lynch finished to the net after a fine team move. Eoin Gilsenan who was unplayable on the night, scored his third goal of the game and also hit 2 two pointers. There was strong showings in defence from Sean and Stephen Cassidy, however as the Pats emptied there bench, their fresher players helped them pull away to a 7 point win.
Despite the result the lads can be proud of their performance. They now look forward to another big game as we welcome Ratoath to Moynalty on Monday 14th April.
